From the ICFMA: ICFs for Basements and Beyond
By Natalie Rodgers
While insulated concrete forms are an ideal solution for foundations and basements, there is a misnomer that they are only utilized for those below-grade conditions. In fact, ICFs can be used above-grade all the way to the roof to enhance their insulation and durability benefits to the end-user.

How To: Avoid Concrete Voids
By Tom Patton
Roughly estimating, well over 30 million square feet of ICF walls are filled with concrete annually. Voids are rare, and with proper procedures and training, can be eliminated altogether.

Project Profile: A. Gary Walsingham Academy
The A. Gary Walsingham Academy in Panama City Beach, Florida, is built with Nudura ICFs and was the 2023 Education 1st runner up and People’s Choice Winner. It is the first new school built in the area after Hurricane Michael’s landfall with 160 mph winds, and it is the first ICF project for the school district.

Project Profile: MAC Federal Credit Union, Wasilla
The MAC Federal Credit Union in Wasilla, Alaska, is a prime example of how insulated concrete forms can be used to create a beautiful, energy-efficient, and resilient building. Completed in July 2021, the project was the Light Commercial 2nd runner up and People’s Choice Winner in the 2023 ICF Builder Awards.
