Comparing a CIP vs. ICF Foundation
By Paul Kocsis

How To: Starting Right – Footings For ICFs
By Tom Patton
One of the most important parts of the structure of any building is footings or slab-on-grade support. The design and installation of these elements is essential in how the next part of the build proceeds, and ultimately, the structural stability of the whole building bearing on the ground.

Project Profile: Burton House
The Burton House in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada, maximized an addition to the existing historic structure by designing specifically for 16-inch Amvic blocks and 6-inch EPS Legalett decking and floor slabs. No underpinning of the old foundation or any added cost to secure was required because of the Legalett slab design.

Project Profile: White Residence
The two homeowners in Warwick, Rhode Island, were also the builders on this project. This couple designed, drew, and constructed the home over nights, holidays, weekends, and vacations, with no prior ICF experience.
