New ICF Beam Pocket

BeamPocket has announced a new product, the ICF Beam Pocket. The adjustable, cast-in-place, beam-to-concrete solution is faster to install, safer to implement, and stronger than embed plates — with no onsite welding. Save $500 to $1,000 per beam on setting and crane time. Users can set a beam in less than 10 minutes with 80% less crane time. Beam Pockets are made in the USA.

ICF Builder Award Deadline Nears

Entries are being accepted for the annual ICF Builder Awards and the People’s Choice Award. The entry form is available on the website, www.icfmag.com, under the Builder Awards tab. The deadline to return entry forms is Friday, October 13, 2023. Contractors, distributors, and ICF manufacturers are encouraged to submit projects in the following categories: Heavy Commercial, Light Commercial, MultiFamily, MultiFamily Low-Rise, Small Residential, Large Residential, Unlimited Residential, Pools, Education, and Specialty Applications. You can download the entry form and find info on judging criteria, tips on filling out the notebook, and past winning projects on the website. The awards ceremony is the most high-profile event in the ICF industry with winners announced at a catered evening event at World of Concrete each January. The Builder Awards competition is an annual event designed to showcase the innovation, quality, and energy-efficiency of ICF construction, and promote them as a sustainable, durable, and attractive building material.

Nudura’s Habitat for Humanity Home in Joplin, MO

Nudura, a member of the Insulating Concrete Forms Manufacturing Association, ICFMA, partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build a new home for Charles Timothy Peay. Charles is an army veteran living in Joplin, Missouri. Habitat for Humanity International, the #ICFMA and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association plan to build 50 ICF homes across 50 states in the next five years.
